In partnership with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), we're planning a world-leading pilot project to reduce trail bike crashes in the Neerim East State Forest.

Preparations are underway to design a safer track network that aims to reduce crashes while providing the challenging elements trail bike riders seek.

Options could include repairing or redesigning the current track network, creating new dedicated trail bike tracks, displaying signposts and markers, and creating emergency service access points.

Your contributions will be considered as we develop plans to upgrade forest tracks to improve your safety.
